OVERVIEW

A design is a plan or set of instructions for creating something, such as a system, product, or process. It sets out the objectives and constraints, and considers factors like appearance, performance, cost, and impact on society. The end result is usually a model, item, or approach that is meant to be used in a specific situation.

CHALLENGE

Designing requires a holistic perspective to understand the bigger picture. This can present challenges, particularly in the form of social issues that may arise within the design team and during various stages of the design process. These issues can stem from a lack of understanding of clients' culture, customs, or lifestyles. The work environment is also critical for the design team, as a comfortable and efficient work atmosphere is necessary for the project's success. To overcome these challenges, it's important to have a diverse team of specialists from different fields and individuals who are open to new ideas and can empathically consider different perspectives. The most important aspect of the design thinking methodology is to comprehend the needs and problems of the target user. People often jump to conclusions after initial research, which can create more problems and lead to rushed final solutions.

  SOLUTION

Having a mobile-friendly website is crucial for its success. It should be designed to be responsive to mobile devices and use a visual hierarchy to guide viewers' attention to the most important elements. The layout, including positioning, size, graphics, and contrast, should be consistent throughout the website. A visually pleasing design should be both simple and conventional. Navigation should be easy, the design should be visually appealing and the text should be easy to read. A clean design can show the value of your brand and content, rather than being distracting with unnecessary visuals or text. Customers often judge the quality of a business or product based on its website design, so having a clean design is essential to create a positive user experience and encourage repeat visits. The color palette also plays an important role in website design, as different colors can evoke different emotions. The principles of color theory should be considered when choosing colors for your website design.

    PROCESS

There is ongoing debate among designers in various fields about the methods used in design. Whether they are amateur or professional, working alone or in teams, researchers Dorst and Dijkhuis note that "there are various methods of explaining design processes." They distinguish and compare two commonly held but distinct views of the design process: as a method of reflective action and as a method of logical problem resolution. These two paradigms, positivism and constructionism, are fundamentally different ways of looking at the world, they argue. These paradigms, which may have different names, may reflect divergent ideas about how design should be done and how it is actually done. The problem-solving perspective is sometimes referred to as the rational model, technical rationality, or the reason-centric approach. The opposing viewpoint is sometimes referred to as "reflection-in-action," "co-evolution," or "the action-centric approach." The design process is a method of determining what needs to be done and then implementing it, which can include achieving a goal, solving problems, or creating something specific.

  OUTCOME

Design outputs are used to develop various things like goods, systems, services, processes, organizations, etc. The actual results of these outputs in the real world are known as design outcomes, which can include social impacts and outcomes. The overarching aim of designing is to create better processes, strategies, goods, services, environments, buildings, and experiences through the use of design thinking. The design process is not linear and may involve revisiting earlier stages like empathizing with users or having additional ideation sessions, based on testing results.
